So much to do, so little time. I am trying to get ready for a class tonight. We are making a cute little cone with lots of bling, that holds a bird and birdnest. In one of my earlier posts. And I am packing for our trip to Philly on Saturday.....so little time.
I took a few minutes to look through some of the new blogs over at Debbie's, see her link to the right, she has a newbie party every Monday. So many cute ideas, and so little time. Maybe when we get back from Philly I will set myself down with a list and get going on some of the projects.
6 years ago our daughter was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and a year later it came back, and won't leave. I have learned that 'things' will still be here when I get around to them, but I plan to cherish every moment I have with my daughter, and let the things come when they do.
In the meantime, gotta get ready for that class :)
Talk soon

Vintage Mini Album I just finished
No time for blogging, have been so busy getting classes ready before I leave for Phildelphia next week. But a I just finished up a really sweet mini that is just perfect for spring....it was inspired by an album by Marion Smith, I just love her flowery designs.
I just love the soft colors on the front cover. Paper is Cosmo Cricket, one of the older lines that I just love. I used some of my Tattered Angels dyed Crinkled seam binding, some crinoline leaves cut from the Tattered Leaves die from Tim Holtz. The Crinoline idea came from my daughter Tamera who learned about Crinoline from Tammy Tutterow...they both rock!!
I found a lot of beautiful white trim at Hobby Lobby, and used my Tattered Angels to color it vintagy(is that a word)for the album.
I also used paper roses from I am Roses....love that company!! I have shown just a few of the pages, but I love all the little detail, it was such fun.
The little pocket in the corner was made from a Quickutz special edition die from Hobby Lobby, it made the perfect pocket for my Fairy tags....
That's all for now

Some Disney like adornment by my front door.
I love to walk down 'Main Street USA" at Disneyland and look in the windows for inspiration for spring decorations. We got back last week from Disneyland, and I decided to make this cute little Bird and Nest cone for the spot near my front door. I thought it looked very Disneyish!!
Don't you just love little birds and eggs in the springtime?
Till next time..

A Few More Cards
I love making cards, I just don't sit down and get to it!! Here are a few of the cards I have been working on for a class.
I used lots of scraps, some of my Crinkled Ribbon and an EK Success corner punch and a Martha Stewart Border punch. I also used some Paper Shaper punches in scalloped and round. stamps were from Michael's $ bin.
I just love having a stash of hand made cards to pull out for that special person that needs some extra love.

Working on some new layouts
I have been working on some new layouts, but am having problems getting good photos of them, but will post them, and later change them out when I get better with the camera.
This first set of layouts was using a lot of the warm browns I love to use in my designs. I used a limited edition Quickutz corner set from Hobby Lobby, Papers were also from Hobby Lobby. I used a Martha Stewart punch around the page punch set. Ribbons were made from seam binding and dyed with Adirondack Color Wash, flowers by Prima and Bazzill cardstock.
The 2nd layout used Recollections Cream cardstock and Bazzill cardstock. DCWV Glitter Paper, K&Co patterned paper, Tattered Flower and Tattered Leaf Dies by Ranger. ITop button maker for flower centers.

Card fun...
I don't always have time to make cards, but last night I got out all my scraps and started to play. What fun to take all of those yummy left over papers and turn them into something sweet to send to a friend to encourage them.
Just a few of the cards...I am on a roll to get my card file filled up again.
